Meaningful time spent reconnecting with your Christian faith, your Christian friends and
making new Christian friends from within our parish of Christ Church St. James
Retreat time, basically a time out, is not unusual. In fact our lord Jesus not only
encourages it but He set the example by taking quiet retreats with His apostles from
time to time while on their journey together. Being men of faith this was time spent when
they reflected on and tried to come to better understand themselves in relationship to
Jesus and His teachings. The retreats were a time to ask questions, a time to raise faith
concerns, a time to try to better understand His new message from their old teachings.
