All Saints Service of Remembrance
November 1 @ 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Over the course of the pandemic we have lost many important parts of our lives and faith practices. This has been especially true at the the time of a death of a loved one. Funerals have been very small gatherings when normally many family members, friends and neighbours would gather to mark a persons life and join in prayer to support those who grieve.
All Saints Day, November 1st, is a day when Christians have traditionally given thanks to God for the lives of loved ones and taken time to give thanks for the ways in which they have blest, encouraged and loved you. It is also a day when we rejoice that in God’s love in Christ we are all saints ;sisters and brothers in the Lord.
If you have lost a loved one during the pandemic and would like to gather to remember, give thanks to God for them and be supported in your loss by the prayers of the church we invite you to worship Monday November 1st at 7:00 p.m.
We had hoped to have a service where we could have everyone attend followed by a reception but as it seems it will still be some time before we can do this we thought we should offer a time of thanks and remembrance now even while under social distancing protocols. As this will limit our attendance please register to attend by contacting Sandra at 416 251 8711 or [email protected]
We will have the service live online as well. Link details will be sent out in Plugged In: when available.
